OUR STUDENTS FROM INDIA
My name is Suraj Kumar, I am a student of Dagestan state medical university and you must have guessed correctly, I am from Hindustan(India), one of the most populated countries on our planet; I am in 4th year, left with less than 5 semesters to call myself a doctor. Currently I am one of the most active representatives of the Indian community in Dagestan. Some even consider me to be the president, something not so official.
It is like this mostly because, I have seniors in fifth year, many of which know way better than I do and had guided me on my first days in Russia, never the less; I stand for any issues concerning Indian students in our university.
I stand for issues concerning not just students from India but from every student who has sought out my help, I am very tolerant person and consider all races to be equal, I see every student as family, because being a foreign student myself, I understand how far away from home we all are, and every single person is family .
I never thought I could be friends with people from diverse cultures, and nationalities.
I don’t see the need for division, that’s why I advocate for the oneness and unification of all foreign students in DGMU regardless of religion, origin or opinions, unity in diversity is the code.
What motivates you
Motivation as its currently defined is not feasible with my beliefs, I understand that life gets tough and at times so tough that everyone at every level considers giving it all up, and verily I say unto you dear brothers and sisters the strongest motivator you will ever come in terms with is yourself.;
But not to be philosophical, I can easily say and have always been motivated by two of the greatest philanthropist in India, on the great names of swami Vivekananda a powerful motivator of young Indians and strong believer in justice for all. And my Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a great leader and sleep derived workaholic who works decades long to stabilize our great nation. Personalities to be remembered for generations.
Why did you decide to be a medical doctor?
Well they say, legends are made not born but as for my case, I happened to be born into a family of heroes where everyone is a doctor, from my father to all my order relatives, so when I started reasoning for myself, I saw the world for what it was and influenced by the environment I grew up in especially when I saw how grateful, people were to doctors and the amount of happiness brought by doctor. I decided I wanted to do that, to be a doctor, change the world, save lives, and inspire others while giving hope to the hopeless.
In my country, doctors are considered next to gods, they are truly a blessed group of individuals.
What positive do you presently impact to the world
So I am a liberal, I believe in freedom, I support fairness, I believe in equality, and I don’t just in theory support these ideas, I have lived most of my life, in accordance to the above revered principles I practicalize my ideologies. Right now, I can’t say whether or not I inspire the world or even change the little things I have control over. Maybe because that is completely not for me to judge, but in the hands of God and the people around me.
I also have a very controversial belief, I am happen to be one of those annoying vegetarians. it is part of Hinduism, a religion I identify proudly with. I advocate for the protection of the lives of every animal, and believe they shouldn’t be seen as just meat but as divine creatures, destined to share the planet with us in peace, love and harmony and maybe even unity.
I can’t make the whole world vegans, but at least I could make us understand that every life is precious. For example if that any chance aliens of higher intelligence happen to invade our beloved planet, we would be treated no less than the treatment we have rendered to other lower species of thousands of years.
Thank you so much for the interview; I am honoured by the opportunity, to be in this magazine’s first edition (the fearless edition).
And fearlessly, we shall conquer all our troubles, social barriers, and societal insecurities.
